Objectives:
  • To reflect on and critically examine existing knowledge on Gender, culture, and Development, fostering a reflection that integrates its perspective into a dialogue among the different approaches within the Social Sciences.
  • To provide methodological tools that enable the incorporation of a Gender approach into the various disciplines and epistemological traditions of the Social Sciences.
  • To create a space for academic training that integrates the Gender approach into the reflection carried out by the Social Sciences on the new processes of sociocultural change taking place in our Latin American societies.
  • To contribute to the training of Social Science professionals who use a gender perspective when addressing processes of social and cultural change and development.
Graduate Profile

The program aims to produce graduates who possess expert training and proficiency in the fields of gender and cultural studies, with a specialization that is applicable both in the professional world and in the pursuit of doctoral studies, enabling them to actively contribute to the development of the social sciences in the country from a critical perspective.
