Research - Development - Public Advocacy
The research clusters create or strengthen transdisciplinary spaces that, depending on the social phenomena to be addressed, incorporate mixed research and intervention tools, as well as diverse conceptual, epistemological, and methodological approaches. Likewise, through collaboration with public, private, and civil society institutions, they open opportunities for external cooperation and institutional integration with high social impact. The relationships established emulate a framework that aligns coherently with each phenomenon and its respective R+D (Research and Development) strategies.
Operationally, the clusters are organized into conceptual lines that are deployed through projects actively involving academics, students, and non-academic actors. This triad of knowledge production strengthens engagement with society and effectively embodies bidirectionality and social impact — one of the key criteria established by the National Accreditation Commission (CNA).
Based on this collaborative and integrative work, it is possible to generate outputs in various formats: academic outputs (R), outputs for professional practice and intervention development (D), and outputs for public engagement and knowledge transfer (i).
