Research Clusters I+D+i

Research - Development - Public Advocacy

Effective Innovations in Public Policy (NIEPP)

This cluster advances an innovative approach to the understanding and design of public policy, challenging the traditional logic that places responsibility for vulnerability on individuals. It contends that precariousness stems from systems of provision rather than from the subjects themselves and promotes innovations focused on improving the quality of provision, policy and program design, and anticipatory evaluation. The cluster advocates for the development of early warning systems and the strengthening of professional teams to increase the effectiveness of public interventions.

I+D+i Lines:
  • Critical analysis of the quality of service provision.
  • Logic and mechanisms for evaluating social policies and programs.
  • Comparative analysis and effective implementation in public policies.
  • Development of prototypes and tools for effective innovation.
Projects 2025
  • Care systems for people with problematic drug use: paradigms in tension.
  • Public advocacy for people experiencing homelessness.
  • Conceptual models and methodological strategies for the participation of children and adolescents in knowledge generation and public advocacy in areas affecting their daily lives.
  • Subjective well-being of mothers and fathers in dual-income families with adolescent children in the Santiago Metropolitan Region. (Collaboration with Fondecyt Regular Project 1230060). Material and subjective well-being of people deprived of liberty in the Chilean penitentiary system from a human rights perspective.
