Complex Territorial Systems (SITEC)

This research group studies the territory as a complex and multiscalar system, going beyond reductionist perspectives and promoting interventions based on spatial justice and transdisciplinarity. It provides theoretical frameworks and innovative strategies to address:

  • Socioterritorial inequalities.
  • Socio-environmental risks.
  • The impact of climate change.

Its educational, research, and interventionist mission aims to influence the formulation of territorial policies.

Resilient Community: transdisciplinary strategy for disaster risk management in Pudahuel

Professor: Gabriela Azocar

Research that incorporates and dialogues with diverse perspectives on disaster risk in the municipality will enable the creation and implementation of an intervention focused on providing effective knowledge and prevention and preparedness tools.
